Description
Thought you could bring us down, but we rise again!! Queer Movie Classics is back, and has found a new home with The People's Center!! Well, not a physical one, more like a residency....
See our history through the silver screen. Once a month, a movie is selected that showcases the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community, be it through subtext or a storyline. We show movies of all genres and time eras, to educate the community and show that we have always been there and a part of culture.
After everyone arrives, the film for that month is played. Afterward, our host — Zak Butler — guides the attendees through an after-talk discussion covering topics like the making of the film, key themes that were in the film, and possible icons that are loved within the community.
Oct. 18’s film title is coming soon.
